Hello, I’m Rebecca,

I’m an Occupational Therapist of 20 years and Mum of two. I have worked for many years across disability and mental health settings, and I love working with children, youth, and families to help increase understand of themselves and others. I am passionate about providing support that makes a difference to people’s daily life and functioning and use a holistic based approach to my practice.

Interventions

I have extensive experience working with adults, young people and children with neurodiversity. I have worked in disability support, early childhood interventions and mental health services. Areas that I am particularly passionate about include assisting people with emotional regulation and self-regulation, sensory assessment and intervention and working with others to help understand and improve interoception (being able to read and understand body signals).

I have experience and knowledge in working on continence, sleeping and self-care; along with improving fine motor and handwriting difficulties. I also have many years of experience working with children with complex needs and history of complex trauma and am also trained in and offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, which can be highly effective for individuals processing trauma and emotional distress. I enjoy working in collaboration with other services to ensure the best outcomes for participants and clients.
