Ethan Blair

Support Mentor and Therapy Assistant

I am a Support Mentor here at Therapywell, and former assistant within the Dungeons & Dragons program we have run in the clinic. I have spent the last two years offering support in home, in the community and behind the scenes in order to assist a range of people form numerous backgrounds and ages, set self made goals and grow the toolset to achieve success in their day-to-day lives.

Sometimes this is simply help with managing school stresses and deadlines, others it may be schedule and organization, and usually it is a lot more specific to the individual than any list I could leave here. No matter the area, I work my hardest to ensure that any goal, any task and any challenge is something that I can help my clients accomplish, all while learning lessons and skills that will make this a repeatable skillset to use independent of support workers such as myself.

Understanding, flexibility, comfort, respect and a focus on the individual are the key motifs of my mentoring style. It is important to me that each client feels like they are getting help with the things most vital to them, and that they feel like they are with someone closer to their peers than another doctor or clinician. I strive to make a proper connection with clients so that I can help approach hurdles along with them in a way that will leave a lasting impression and help them with the vast majority of challenges that will present themselves when I am not around.

Outside of work, I am an amateur chef, avid reader, board game and D&D enthusiast, the loudest guy in the room at any venue and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, skating and basketball.
